Hi, my name is Tayler! I’m so glad you are here. There are so many things I want to share with you, from traveling around the world, to cleaning up poop stories, to oh crap my kid cut my daughter’s hair….again!! Or we can get really nitty and gritty about my past and all the crazy fun and not so awesome moments of my life. Well, we have plenty of time to hear all about these things or you can just hop on over to my website and hear all about it, BUT before you do, let me share my heart and passion with you of how Women Soaring began.

Being a military spouse, I have been fortunate to move all around and make some incredible friends. I consider myself a connector. I always knew as I met these ladies, we would do something big together. The question is, what was it?!?

About 3 years into married life, I remember telling my Pastor at the time, that I saw myself speaking…like on a stage! What?!? How?!? It absolutely terrified me to speak aloud about the vision and passion God placed on my heart. Have you ever had a dream you wanted to go after but thought of all the things people would say to you, like:

“You can’t do that!”

“You’re not educated!”

“You are a mom.”

“Okay…sure you will do that.”

Or have said those things to yourself!?!

Shortly after I timidly shared this idea, my marriage began to crumble. Military and marriage don’t always work well together. Let’s be real, we face very unique circumstances. I began to think, how could I possibly speak and share God’s word when behind closed doors, it wasn’t going well. On the outside we looked like a “picture perfect” family with our beautiful children. On the inside, I was doing EVERYTHING I could possibly do to keep it together. I felt so alone, isolated, like no one understood, I had to do it all. Have you ever felt this way??

If so, I want you to know YOU ARE NOT ALONE. The crazy lonely place I was, is where God spoke so clearly to me. He told me, He will use this for His good. I clung to this for over 5 years, waiting, growing, and learning so much about myself and God. I don’t want women to think they are alone. That is what sparked my passion. This is a safe and open place.

Over the course of those 5 years, the fire was burning deep inside and all of me wanted to take off so bad on this mission. I felt like those bulls that are so hyped behind the gate and anxious in waiting for the gate to open. BUT I was still waiting for the go ahead. My husband has always been supportive of my passion and I knew I couldn’t do this without his complete support. I told God, PLEASE make it so so clear when it is time and when he (my husband) is completely on board.

Well, I may have been getting very weary and then we chose a different route in purchasing a business. I won’t lie, I was a little disappointed, but I was not going to move forward without complete support from my hubby.

Alas, the night before we were going to sign some paperwork, my hubby said, we are not going to do it. WHAT?!?!? What are we going to do? He said, “God says it’s your turn, so let’s do this.” Well, God, THANK YOU for making it so clear!!

I had a dear friend, Kari Dickson, who was just what I needed to kick my butt into gear with gathering the ladies and having this vision begin. I knew that God was also moving in every one of these ladies I met along the way.

So here we are. To share our journeys, let you know you are not alone, that WE can do this together and that there is room for ALL of us!!
