Wow! This week has been a doozy! So many kids headed back to school; or for homeschooling families, maybe you started back up or never stopped. One thing that is TRUE is that life can be unpredictable!
For my family, we just completed our first week of homeschooling. We started this coming off a HUGE road trip with no schedule, to my husband heading back to work, getting in a car accident, and a loved one that has been in the hospital, along with the 8,000,000,000 sports and activities my six kids are involved in. To say this wasn’t a busy and unpredictable week would be quite an understatement.
As we all get back in the swing of things, I want to encourage you to give yourself GRACE! We see you. I see you:
-I see you tirelessly cleaning your house, to no avail.
-Feeding your family and preparing meals (even if just sandwiches or snacks YOU are providing)
-I see those tired eyes, desperate for a nap, push through and read another book.
-I know the feeling of little ones following you, calling out your name or fingers under the door while you to go to the bathroom.
-I see you teaching your kids all the little things, even when it creates a disaster.
-I see those moments of losing your mind and the heavy guilt that follows.
BUT
YOU, MAMA, ARE DOING GREAT!
It can be messy, challenging, fun, rewarding, and downright exhausting. BUT remember, YOU have been entrusted with one of the most essential tasks: RAISING THE NEXT GENERATION FOR CHRIST! Don’t underestimate your value and worth. God found you fitting and worthy to raise these children.
